Top 5 Weekend Destinations from Delhi
These top 5 destinations promise a unique blend of wildlife, nature, culture, adventure, and tranquility, from historical marvels to natural wonders.
The total area of Ranthambore National Park is divided into ten zones and safari tours are organised in each zone. The zones are created to allow a limited number of vehicles during each shift to maintain the crowd in the park. Moreover, the zones are the territories of the tigers available in the national park.
Previously, there were only zones one to five and then six to ten were added. The locations of zones 6-10 are at the exact opposite end of zones 1-5. The safari vehicles have to go through the old city to enter zones 6-10. Zone one to five is the most popular zone for tiger sightings, out of which zone 2 is the favourite one. Regular animals including leopards are spotted in zone two as the area is dotted with several water holes. Among zones six to ten, Zone six, which is also called Kundal, is different from all other zones in Ranthambore. The landscape of Kundal is different and the opportunities to spot birds including the endangered Red Headed Vultures are greater.
