Ranthambore National Park is a popular name in the wildlife tourism of Rajasthan. Located in the Sawai Madhopur District, the national park covers an area of 1,334 square kilometres. With a huge collection of flora and fauna including the Indian leopard, Bengal tiger, Indian elephant, wild water buffalo and many more exotic species, Ranthambore is one of the best places in India to experience an adventurous jungle safari.
The park remains open from October to June and closed during the monsoon for three months, July, August, and September. The safari timings including entry and exit vary depending on the season you choose to visit. In summer, the daylight hours are longer, so the safari starts early in the morning and closes before noon due to the temperature rise. For the winter months, the time changes according to the month.
The total area of the park is divided into ten zones and safari tours are available in each zone. However, the zone is allotted as per the availability.
