It is also home to several important Buddhist monuments, including the Dhamekh Stupa and the Chaukhandi Stupa, which are considered to be some of the oldest and most significant Buddhist structures in India. Sarnath is also home to several museums and cultural centers that are dedicated to the study and preservation of Buddhist heritage.
