Maa Chandi Devi Temple is a Hindu temple located in the holy city of Haridwar in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The pilgrimage destination is situated on the top of Neel Parvat on the eastern summit of the Shivalik Hills, overlooking the holy river Ganges, around four kilometres from Har ki Pauri, another popular tourist attraction in Haridwar.
According to Chandi Devi Temple history, the temple is dedicated to goddess Chandi, who is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. She rested for a while on the Neel Parvat after killing the demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha. It is said that the temple was built in the 1920s by the king of Kashmir, Suchat Singh.
